The Holidays are approaching very fast! I usually like to make little treats for those less fortunate than others. One year I made 200 candy filled paper rolls and wrapped them with Christmas wrapping paper. Twisted the ends and it looks like a holiday Tootsie Roll. It was pretty cool. I of course didn't do it alone. I had the help of my family along with me. I took the treats to a place where I use to do Volunteer services for Frazee Community Center in San Bernardino, Ca. Adult Men, Women and Children all got a treat from me. Moments like this is what makes me really happy. Just bring a bit of positive and goodness to someone else and it can change their lives for that moment. Everyone deserves to be happy. I enjoy making people happy. I enjoy giving. I enjoy bringing smiles to others. Below I have photos of how I went about making my treats. I bought plenty of small sized candy and mini Candy Canes. I filled up the card board tubes with candy and put one piece of tape on each end to prevent the candy from falling out of the tubes. Then I wrapped them with wrapping paper and I twisted the ends and tied them with ribbon. add some swirls to my ribbon by using the scissors and there ya have it!
This year I want to do something else. Not too quite sure exactly what, but I want to bring happiness to those once again. I know at work I will be donating a toy to a child. That will be one of the many things that I will do this month and next month.
